Thanks to all crews for a good first day’s racing of the May Bumps 2012.
Today’s results are now available at www.cucbc.org/mays/results.

Notes from the Umpires

· Please ensure you turn up to marshal on time. Unless instructed
otherwise by the marshals, all crews marshal 45 minutes before their
division at Chesterton (except the first division of the day who marshal 10
minutes before the start on station). Even if we are running late, please
still turn up on time as we endeavour to catch up.

· When you bump out, you must clear the river as quickly as
possible. Do not celebrate before clearing and get straight into the bank as
the rest of the division will be coming up at speed behind you!

· Bank parties are strictly limited to 4 cyclists. This includes the
boatman, coaches and any VIPs. Excessive bank parties are extremely
dangerous, can obstruct the umpires and will therefore be heavily penalised.

· A commendation goes to Pembroke M1 for their slightly early
concession in favour of safety.
