[CUCBC Contacts] University Fours Umpires

Dear All,

The CUCBC University Fours are going to take place from Monday 2nd to Friday
6th of November.  The races will run for about 2 and a half hours each day.
In order to run the races, we will need several umpires to help out.  The
races only last for not more than 2 and a half hours on a given day
(13:45-16:00), and it guarantees to be a good day of competitive racing.
Umpires help out with making sure each race goes smoothly, starting races,
judging race finishes, and getting crews to their starting points on time.
On top of all that, you get to wear one of CUCBC's stylish bright bibs.
It's a great way to watch the races up close and contribute to rowing in
Cambridge.  You don't have to have done much rowing to be eligible
(obviously some past experience would be ideal, but not necessary).

To get involved, even if it's only for one day or part of a day, please send
your availability to cuwbc at cucbc.org with the subject "Uni Fours Umpire",
and include in the message which college you are from.  It would be ideal if
you could help out for a whole day (or several whole days), but even if you
are only partly available, I would encourage you to sign up.
