[CUCBC Captains] URGENT: burst sewage pipe

Dear all,

We have just been made aware that there is a burst sewage pipe discharging
into the river near Fen Ditton.

Please circulate to your members to avoid going too far downstream on
Sunday, to take care not to ingest any river water, and to shower
thoroughly immediately after any outing.

The authorities should be on the case; there may be a river closure
downstream of the problem. We'll keep you updated as more information comes
to light.
