[CUCBC Captains] Dangerous and inconsiderate coxing

Dear river users

 

Please be aware of the following events affecting the Cam navigation this
weekend:

 

Saturday 17th November

 

The Cambridge Winter Head Race (organisers Cantabrigian Rowing Club) will be
taking place between 07:30 hr and 15:00 hr, course Baits Bite Lock to
Chesterton footbridge. Navigators are kindly asked to observe the race
marshals' instructions and heed their warnings to wait for an appropriate
time slot before proceeding upstream or downstream during this approved
event. 

 

Sunday 18th November

 

Emmanuel Boat Club is hosting its annual 'Emma Sprints' Regatta, also
between Baits Bite and Chesterton footbridge, 11:00 hr to 16:30 hr. As
above, we request that navigators refer to the race marshals in attendance
to seek passage between race divisions. 

 

The Halingway towpath is a public right of way. Cyclists must give priority
to pedestrians at all times.
