To all river users,

Sunday 4 November

Please be advised that this Sunday, 4th November, Cambridge Fish
Preservation and Angling Society Ltd will be hosting a Winter League Match
on the River Cam between the Penny Ferry, Chesterton, and Clayhithe Bridge,
10:00 hr to 16:00 hr. Navigators making passage along these reaches are
asked to keep a look-out for rods with lines/poles and to keep speed and
wash down to a minimum when passing competitors.

It has been reported that last weekend's League Match was heavily disrupted
by inconsiderate rowing crews and bank parties using the towpath without due
regard. The towpath is a public right of way for young and old. Please
respect others' right to enjoy the river.

Monday 5 November

A suspension (closure) of navigation will be in effect on the River Cam, as
advertised in the Cambridge News and as displayed on the Conservators notice
boards and web-site:

The suspension will affect those reaches adjacent to Midsummer Common (Fort
St George public house to Cutter Ferry Bridge), 7pm to 8pm, during the
annual fireworks display. Mooring Permit holders have been requested to
vacate their berths at Midsummer Common before this suspension takes effect.

River users must observe the safety marshals' instructions.

Thank you for your attention and cooperation.
