Subject: Slow tow on River Cam, Monday 23 March and/or Tuesday 24 March


Navigators using the River Cam are warned that the Conservators’ staff will be removing a derelict vessel from its moorings near the Green Dragon Bridge, Chesterton, on Monday 23 and/or Tuesday 24 March. Workboats will be employed to move this derelict vessel to the Conservators’ Depot at Clayhithe near Waterbeach. Please keep a lookout for the workboats and give way to them when they are underway. The convoy will be slow-moving and is likely to occupy the middle of the navigation channel, with limited ability to manoeuvre. It is expected that these operations will take place between 9am and 5pm on either of these days.
