Captains are reminded of the need to provide marshals during the Lent Bumps.
Marshals are essential in assisting the umpires to ensure smooth running of
the event.

The marshals' rota for Lent Bumps 2009 is now available online:

http://www.cucbc.org/lents/marshals

Please check the rota carefully for your club's slots and note that a club
may be required to provide two marshals for one slot. The number of slots
allocated per club is determined by the number of crews entered by that club
with credits given for umpires from the club who have signed up.

Marshals should not be novices and should have competed in at least one set
of Bumps in the past. Clubs will be fined for failure to provide a marshal
or for providing a marshal deemed to be incompetent.

Marshals should report to the control desk by Peter's Posts at least 10
minutes before their slot, where they must sign in and will be assigned a
position and given instructions.

If you have any queries or problems regarding this, or the Lents in general,
please get in touch.

Regards,
Dan
