This e-mail contains important information for both outgoing and incoming
captains.

Outgoing captains: Please leave this message in your Webmail Inbox for your
successor (and mark it as unread).

You should pass on the username and password for both your e-mail and
website accounts to your successor.

Your CUCBC Accounts

Each College captain is issued with two CUCBC accounts, one for the e-mail
system and one for the website. The usernames for both systems will be
identical and will be of the form:

[college].men Men's captain

[college].women Women's captain

[college].captain Overall captain, if your club has one (who is
not also the men's or women's captain)

E-mail

Each of these accounts has an associated @cucbc.org e-mail address which is
subscribed to the Captain's list. You should check your CUCBC e-mail account
regularly as it will be used to communicate important information from CUCBC
as well as any fines your club may have incurred.

In addition to these addresses, each club has a [college]@cucbc.org address
which will redirect to all of these.

You can log in to your e-mail account via the Webmail interface at
http://webmail.cucbc.org.

Incoming captains should change their password the first time they log in.
This can be done by following the Settings link (top right) then going to
Accounts. Use the Change Password link at the bottom of the page.

If you wish, you can set up your CUCBC e-mail account with your own mail
client (e.g. Outlook), or you can have your CUCBC mail automatically
forwarded to another (e.g. Hermes) account. Both of these functions can be
performed via the "Forwarding and POP/IMAP" tab on the Settings page.
Incoming captains should check the system is not still forwarding to their
predecessor.

By default, mail sent from the Webmail interface will have the From
name/address set as [college] [Men/Women/Captain] e.g. "Jesus Men". If you
wish you can change this to your own name. Go to the Accounts tab of the
Settings page, and click "Edit Info" near "Send Mail As" at the top of the
page. Incoming captains should check this is not still set to their
predecessors name.

Website

You will be required to log in to the website (http://www.cucbc.org) to,
amongst other things, update your club information and enter crews for CUCBC
events (including Bumps). The CUCBC Website also contains a lot of important
information including the Rules of the River, lighting times and the current
flag status.

If you do not have your website password but you have access to your CUCBC
e-mail account, you may use the "Request New Password" link on the login
form to have a new password e-mailed to you.

Incoming captains should change their password the first time they log in.
To do this, after logging in, go to My Account (left, under your username),
then to the Edit tab.

Incoming captains: please update your club's information in our database. To
do this, select Club Information (under your username on the left) then
select "View Info" for your club. Click the Edit tab to update the
information (you will only be able to edit your own club!)

If you have any queries (relating to the website/e-mail system etc.) or are
missing passwords for your club, please get in touch with the CUCBC Web Team
(webmaster at cucbc.org).
