[CUCBC Coxes] Reminder of Wildlife Guidance

Dear all,

I hope the final day of training before Mays has treated you well. Please remind all coxswains / steerspeople to keep an eye out for the three swan families with cygnets on the river. Their rough locations are:

1. Near the Midsummer Common footbridge, around the Pembroke & Emma boathouses
2. Near the white footbridge at Riverside, near to big Tesco
3. On the Long Reach, often near to the new footbridge

The first two are nowhere near the racing course, so crews are expected to take every possible precaution to avoid collisions, including hitting them with blades. The same is true for the third family during any training sessions you may have this week, as well as on the row down from marshalling to the start.
