[CUCBC Coxes] Railway Bridge Navigation Restriction - September

Dear all,

Further communications with the contractors have made it clear that they
basically expect the river to be fully closed Monday 23rd September -
Friday 27th September and Monday 30th September - Friday 4th October, from
08:00-18:00 on each of those days (and not just some of the time in those
windows). It also looks like this could extend to the 7th and 8th October
(they expect to complete the works on the 4th, but not to finish removing
all of their pontoons and equipment etc. until the following week).

This obviously presents an issue for any clubs planning training sessions
for those days, so if you are looking to hit the ground running on
Michaelmas training, I'd suggest you do so during the weekend of the 5th
and 6th. You'll still be able to get tubs and novices etc. out between
Jesus Lock and Chesterton footbridge, but this obviously isn't ideal for
senior outings.

Hopefully this will be the last update I have to send about this, but I
wouldn't hold your breath...

Conor
