Please consider signing up to umpire, even if you haven?t done so before. You?ll get to cycle alongside races and see the action first hand, and CUCBC even throw in a free Umpires Dinner the week after Bumps as a thank you. Please note that we ask that Umpires have rowed or coxed in at least two set of Bumps to sign up. Captains; please forward onto your clubs and encourage people to sign up. Please check it to make sure the crews you expect to be there are listed, and that your crews are able to make their time slots. We have decided to hold the GoR in the evening to minimise the need for subs etc. A further email discussing the resolution for the resulting clash with late hour will follow shortly. Consequently, the river will be closed below Chesterton from 1845. Early and Late hours will be replaced with a single, joint period from 1715 to 1845. Only boats eligible to train in either Men?s or Women?s hour will be allowed below Chesterton during this period. No 4s will be permitted. Please disseminate this information throughout your clubs. Thank you in advance for your co-operation.
