The dev squad has a strong track record of bridging the gap between the fastest, most motivated rowers in the college boat clubs and the rowers in the CUBC squad. I look forward to seeing all the guys willing to give it a go on the first week of term ready to produce the fastest combination possible for Henley. I am trying to arrange a training camp before the start of term (beginning next Monday, 15th). However, we are a little short on coxes. If you fancy getting back on the water next week and you wouldn't mind helping out another boatclub, please get in touch (jt434 at cam.ac.uk OR captain at pembrokecollegeboatclub.com). Although we would not be able to pay you in money, we would repay you with gratitude... although chocolates and booze will also be handed out if gratitude is not enough. On top of this I hope to be organising some social events with the Pembroke Women's Captain; you would, naturally, be one of the guests of honour! Hope you had a good Easter! The regatta will be held in the early to mid-afternoon on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. It's unlikely that any session will last more than 2-3 hours, assuming efficient competitors. You don't need to have umpired before, though experience is always welcome, and of course a full schedule will be released as soon as the draw system allows. If you can't make a full day but could do an hour or so, then let me know. If a full complement of umpires cannot be sourced from natural volunteers, clubs who have entered boats will be required to provide "volunteers". There are very few changes in this version. Be aware that races later in the week are subject to slight changes based on the results of day 1 and 2. I currently have at most 3 umpires per day. This is insufficient to run the SBRs. Boat club captains please "encourage" your members to "volunteer", or the races will simply not run.
