RE: BOB MIDDLETON and his GREY BARGE
INCIDENT AT DITTON CORNER at 0800-0830 FRIDAY 26th NOVEMBER
(Clare Novices Regatta were on that day)

URGENT APPEAL FOR WITNESSES:

Darwin Ladies were spinning their VIII at Ditton Corner, having proceeded
downstream, with Bob Middleton's Barge also coming downstream but some way
behind them.

It is alleged that he deliberately manoeuvred his vessel into the middle of
the river and made no effort to slow down or stop until his vessel was only
8 feet from their hull (not blades), as they were across the river. This was
a potentially disastrous manoeuvre which could have resulted in a hideous
accident.

We have Darwin's evidence but urgently need additional independent evidence.

Did anybody in your Club see this incident?

If so, can you please ask them to contact me now, as a matter of urgency.

Thank you for your help.
