[CUCBC Coxes] On the way down to race

Guys,

A couple of things I want to send out before the final day of racing:

Firstly, complaints have been flooding in this week about people urinating
in public. This sounds silly, but unfortunately it is causing offence to a
lot of people, especially in the Chesterton area. Please make sure that you
make it clear to your crews not to do this. As Pete's last email points
out, things have got quite serious and anybody caught out could find
themselves in court.

On bumps related stuff: Please make sure you stick to the normal navigation
lines as you row down to the start and when you return from the race.
Especially between the reach and Chesterton, there are going to be lots of
boats going both ways in the changeover between divisions, so make sure you
keep over to your side.

It's the last day of bumps, and things can get a bit out of hand on the way
home. It is NOT acceptable for a rower to swap places with the cox on the
way home. No matter how much you might feel it is a nice thing to do at the
time! When these kinds of swaps are made, crashes inevitably happen. If
you cause a serious accident, you could still have your bump stripped away
from you. Keep things sensible!

Finally, have a good final day, best of luck to all racing crews.

Yours,

Mark Stringer
