[CUCBC Coxes] Fins

Guys,

For crews which are on the water today, please bear in mind that although
the river has dropped, so that the stream is less of a problem, you need to
be especially careful with your shells. The river is at the level at the
moment where you could probably just about float your eight just over the
hard. However, if you do this, you will damage your fin and rudder. So
take care special care when boating and landing today. If you still can't
see the edge of the hard, make sure you take things slowly as people
approach the edge and ask people to "feel for the edge" as they start to get
close.

Finally, as always it is up to the cox as to whether it safe to go out or
not. I heard several crews scratched yesterday - good on you for making the
call.

Happy Coxing,

Mark Stringer
