[CUCBC Coxes] Points to consider

Hi guys,

Two points that I ask you to bear in mind:

Winter is fast coming in on us and the result is that lighting up is getting
much earlier now.

Please make sure that you know the times for lighting up and that you allow
for possible delays due to congestion around this period, to enable you to
make it back to the boathouses on time. Also, make sure that you have
lights in the periods close to lighting up and lighting down - check the
CUCBC handbook if you are unsure.

A second point is that there is NO FIRM PRESSURE allowed upstream of
Chesterton. Not only is this in place to reduce the wash on house boats,
but there are also likely to be slow moving/stationary boats in this zone as
well as novices/tubs. As coxes, it is your job to ensure that your crew is
not steaming upstream in this part of the river, not the stroke or coach.

Take care, and keep safe,

Mark
