Hi all,

Just a reminder about this optional presentation on Sunday at 1.15pm,
Goldie. While I'm here, two other reminders:

Compulsory safety meetings for Bumps on Sunday 8th June. You must either
come yourself or send a representative for your crew. One rep for five
crews is not cool...we need to know that you know you're safe. Times:

7.15 Senior coxes - Further info in emails to coxes list
7.45 Coxing rep election - Further info in emails to coxes list
8.15 Novice coxes - Further info in emails to coxes list

Speaking of Coxing Rep election, I've had a grand total of 0 applications.
Seriously, it's not a difficult job, helps to keep it all running and you
get a nice warm glow of satisfaction, honestly. Please get those manifestos
in...I'll even extend the deadline to Thursday 5th June so you have more
time to finish the end-of-year quizzes.

Dave

> Dear all,
>
> Next Sunday 1st June at 1.15pm in Goldie, Martin Haycock (CUBC Blue cox
> during the 90s) is coming to give a talk on how to become a better cox. He
> is very experienced and if you've ever seen the video of his Boat Race,
> you'll know that he played a seriously pivotal role in winning it. I reckon
> that Martin will talk for between 30 and 45 minutes, then I'll talk for a
> shorter amount of time on Bumps-specfic coxing.
>
> ***NOTE***: This is NOT the same as the compulsory safety talks for Bumps
> which will be held on Sunday 8th June (details soon to come from Laura).
> This is an entirely optional (yet recommended) talk which will take up just
> over an hour of your time on Sunday 1st. Me talking about Bumps on the 1st
> will purely be a "how to cox Bumps better" thing, not the official line on
> safety which we are required to do. We can't combine the meetings for
> various reasons, so you'll still have to show on the 8th whether or not you
> come to this on the 1st.
>
> Hope that makes sense and it would be good to see plenty of people at
> Goldie next Sunday, 1.15pm.
