Dear all
I know it is the first week that these are in force, but a reminder is already needed:
The two 'dedicated' hours are 5.30-6.30 pm and 7.00-8.00 pm. The 'changeover period' is 6.30-7.00 pm.
During the dedicated hours, ONLY eligible VIIIs are permitted on the stretch between Chesterton Footbridge and Bait's Bite Lock. College IVs and small boats are NOT permitted.
If you want to take a IV or a non-eligible VIII over the lock, they need to arrive at Bait's Bite before a dedicated hour starts, and leave it again upstream at its end - the changeover period can be used to get to and from the lock for this purpose, but you must plan your boating times such that this is the period used. If you fail to boat in time through lack of organisation, then the outing should be abandoned. Bear in mind that infringement fines build up rapidly.
Thanks for your cooperation
Pete
