<html><head><meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html charset=windows-1252"><meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html charset=windows-1252"></head><body style="word-wrap: break-word; -webkit-nbsp-mode: space; -webkit-line-break: after-white-space; ">Dear all<div><br></div><div>Sunday 26 May sees the annual Cambridge Nines Regatta – a hell-for-leather 1000m sprint up the Long Reach for crews of eight, from Ditton Corner to the Lower Finish.<div><br></div><div>If you are a college crew training for the May Bumps then this is the perfect opportunity to practise those racing starts and size up the opposition. If you are a town rower, why not get a crew together and show them how it's done?</div><div><br></div><div>This year we have a category for college alumni rowers too.</div><div><br></div><div>The regatta is a plate competition, so those who lose their first heat get to row again against other crews in the same position for a 'second place' prize. Everyone gets to race at least twice (if not more) and all of your races should be compete in under 90 min.</div><div><br></div><div>All winning crews will get glass tankards. The club with the most winning crews wins a bonus prize of a slab of beer!</div><div><br></div><div>The bar at the Cambridge '99 RC boathouse will be open after racing for prizes, and burgers and a BBQ will also be on offer.</div><div><br></div><div>More details and a poster are available on the Cambridge '99 RC website at <a href="http://nines.rowing.org.uk/">nines.rowing.org.uk</a>.
