[CUCBC Contacts] Cambridge Autumn: the only British Rowing regatta on the Cam

Dear friends of college rowing,

Entries are now open for the Cambridge Autumn Regatta
British Rowing officials, hosted by Cambridge 99s
Sunday 10 September 2023

All college rowers are welcome: novices, seniors, alumni and composite crews. Town clubs will also be racing, and clubs will be visiting from around the region.

This friendly side-by-side 550m race on the Long Reach is a great end to the sprint season. All events will be offered and all rowers are welcome, with masters, juniors, novice and senior categories run by British Rowing rules and RowSafe guidance.

Why race Cambridge Autumn Regatta?


  *   Cambridge Autumn is the only British Rowing affiliated regatta on the Cam: run from a stakeboat start by BR rules, it’s an easy opportunity to build formal racing experience for those starting to look at off-Cam head races, and to earn those precious BR points.


  *   We are trialling the new day-licence system from BR, which makes one-off racing more affordable for colleges and occasional competitors.


  *   Get in early with an early-bird discount of £12.50 per seat (excl coxes) for entries before 1st Sept.


  *   Winners receive a glass tankard… come and fill it up at the bar we’ll be running on Ditton Meadow!

Visitors boat from Ditton Meadow; Cambridge clubs can opt to boat from town. Races run side-by-side on the Long Reach from a stakeboat start at the Railway Bridge for 550m downstream towards Ditton Corner.
