*Notes from the Umpires*


   - Coxes are reminded that they should stick a hand up and *leave* it up
   if they are conceding, and should not do so if they are not conceding
   - All crews should double check that they know where their finish line is
   - Crews and bank parties in the marshalling area are reminded that the
   gazebos at race control are for the *umpires only*. Tomorrow it is due
   to rain all day so make sure you bring appropriate layers/waterproofs
   - Boats in the lower divisions need to have bank parties to pull them in
   in the marshalling zone
   - Boats that have bumped should have a quick look behind them before
   clearing to ensure you are clearing to the appropriate side of the river.
   There is no need to scream at your crew to clear if there are no boats
   still racing behind you

   - Caius W1 - Slow to clear - £30
   - Christ’s - Failure to provide a marshal - £15
   - Clare - Failure to provide a marshal - £15
   - Emmanuel W1 - Being sponsored by McDonalds - Happy meals for all the
   chief & deputy chief umpires
   - Fitzwilliam M1 - Not telling bowman that the stupid leggings are for
   Saturdays only - matching kit prohibited for the rest of the week
   - Girton M1 - Failure to hold it up - £40
   - Jesus M1 - Failure to hold it up - £20
   - Jesus M2 - Dropped bung (no advantage) - £15
   - Murrary Edwards W1 - Failure to easy, failure to clear and causing
   serious obstruction - £75
   - Newnham W1 - Excessive bank party - £30
   - Newnham W1 - Excessive bank party (second offence) - £45
   - Pembroke W2 - Failure to concede - £45
   - Selwyn M1 - Dropped bung (minor advantage) - £15
   - Selwyn W1 - Incompetent concession - £25
   - Sidney Sussex W1 - Early Celebration – Warning
   - Sidney Sussex M2 - Failure to clear - £30
