[CUCBC Contacts] Henley Boat Race Ball and coach to and from the races

Hello, could you please forward the following on for the attention of  
anyone interested? Thanks!

Dear contacts/Captains, as you are no doubt aware the Henley Boat  
Races will be taking place soon, on March 27th (the day after the CUBC/ 
OUBC race). Hopefully many of you will be coming along to cheer on the  
Light Blues: the CUWBC Blue Boat, Blondie and Lightweights and  the  
CULRC Blue Boat.

Transport by coach to and from Cambridge will be available if enough  
people book. This is organised by me, details are below.

Tickets to the after-party are also available, details also below.  
There are some rooms in Phyllis Court going at a discount rate for the  
night after the party, please get in touch if you are interested.


***HENLEY BOAT RACES BALL***

The annual party held after the Henley Boat Races to celebrate the  
races and
unwind with the athletes. This year it will be held in the beautiful  
Phyllis
Court Club overlooking the Boat Race course.

Friends, families and supporters of the races are more than welcome.

9 p.m. - 1a.m.
Phyllis Court, Henley-on-Thames, Oxfordshire RG9 2HT

***COACHES***

TIMES:

Outward coach from Cambridge to Henley will leave Queen's Backs at 9.30
a.m., arriving before noon with plenty of time to find a good spot to  
watch
from before the races start.

Return coach number one from Henley to Cambridge will leave at 6 p.m.,
leaving enough time to see the awards ceremony and stroll back to the  
coach
stop.

Return coach number two from Phyllis Court, Henley to Cambridge at 1.10
a.m., just after the ball ends. (FOR BALL TICKETS CONTACT SARAH ALLEN

COST:

£12 for a single trip, £20 for a return (returning on either coach).

By comparison, the train is £36 for a single trip and takes 3 hours 22
minutes including three changes. This is a good deal!
