CHAMPS EIGHTS HEAD - NEXT SUNDAY 17TH MAY 2009

DIVS AT 12.00, 1.30pm and 3.00pm
This is a great pre Bumps Cam event for university and town club eights.
Course runs from Plough lawns to the Penny Ferry. Last year 105 eights took
part.

PRIZES

1. EVENT CATEGORIES
Event Tankards (with free fill of Milton Brewery beer if collected at
prizegiving at City boathouse)
University categories:
Mens Mays Div 1, 2, 3 and lower (divs 4-6) enter event as M1, M2, M3 or ML.
Ladies Mays Div 1, 2, 3 and lower (divs 4-6) enter event as W1, W2, W3 or WL
Please enter your crews as the position you will be rowing in May Bumps not
your crew position in your boat club e.g. M2 not 1st boat. Any crews that
will be entering the Getting-on Race are also very welcome to enter as ML/
WL category

Town categories :CRA Mens Senior, Novice, Vet, Junior /CRA Ladies Senior,
Novice, Vet, Junior

2. COURSE RECORD
A magnum of Veuve Clicquot Champagne for the fastest men's and ladies crews
(Town or Gown) if they break the current Champs 8's Head course record.
Currently 4.24.1seconds set by Downing M1in 2008 and 5.07.6 seconds set by
Christs W1 also in 2008.

3. JUDGED BEST STARTS AT THE PLOUGH 
9 bottles of "Champs" for:
Most Impressive Mens start
Most Impressive Ladies start
Most "Interesting" Mens start
Most "Interesting" Ladies start

4. COXING PRIZES 
Coxes prizes for the judged best cornering of Ditton Corner
First prize 2 tickets on a Georgina cruise (with a complimentary bottle of
champagne) and a cox award tankard.
2nd prize 2 tickets on a public cruise on the Georgina and cox award
tankard. 
4 other special cox award tankards and chocolate oranges.

pounds a crew if payment received by closing date/56 pounds if late payment)
