I'm still confirming Umpire availability, so these times might shift by an hour or so, but hopefully it's enough for people to plan which days they're racing.</div><div><br></div><div>As a reminder, all racing crews will be expected to provide a marshal to help run the races. I'm hoping to get a finalised race timetable and marshals rota out by Tuesday to give you time to find a marshal if needed. Past experience has found that e.g. scheduling finals back-to-back with semi-finals works well to make efficient use of everyone's time, but more than two rounds per event per day risks crews with easier first-round draws having an unfair advantage in the later rounds. Having said that, we're using a shorter course this year, so it may be less of an issue - if anyone has strong opinions on this please do feel free to let me know. If we do get fewer entries such that we can fit everything into two or three afternoons then we will do that - we've asked the Conservancy for four afternoons just to make sure that we will still be able to run the event if lots and lots of people enter.</div><div>If anyone has specific time constraints (e.g. you have a sculler who is really keen to race but has an exam on the Monday afternoon) then I will do my best to construct a race timetable around those, but I can't offer any guarantees before entries close - if every club/crew comes back with a long list of constraints then there's unlikely to be a universally acceptable solution.</div><div><br></div><div>Best wishes,</div><div>Matthew</div><div><br></div></div></div><br><div class="gmail_quote"><div dir="ltr" class="gmail_attr">On Mon, 3 May 2021 at 17:53, Matthew Temple <<a href="mailto:matthew@cucbc.org" target="_blank">matthew@cucbc.org</a>> wrote:<br></div><blockquote class="gmail_quote" style="margin:0px 0px 0px 0.8ex;border-left-width:1px;border-left-style:solid;border-left-color:rgb(204,204,204);padding-left:1ex"><div dir="ltr"><div dir="ltr"><div style="padding-top:0px;border-top-width:0px"><font face="arial, sans-serif" color="#000000">Dear Captains,</font></div><div style="padding-top:0px;border-top-width:0px"><font face="arial, sans-serif" color="#000000"><br></font></div><div style="padding-top:0px;border-top-width:0px"><font color="#000000"><font face="arial, sans-serif">Entries for the 'Smaller Boats Regatta' <a href="http://www.cucbc.org/regatta/25" rel="noreferrer" target="_blank">SBR 2021</a> are now open, with races planned to take place in the afternoons (13:00-17:30) </font><font face="arial, sans-serif">of Monday 7th, Wednesday 9th, Thursday 10th and Friday 11th June.
