<div><br></div><div>Entries are now open for this year's Clare Novices' Regatta. The Regatta will be held from Thursday 24th to Saturday 26th November. </div><div><br></div><div>All the information about the Regatta, including the full rules and the online entry system, can be found at <b><a href="http://www.clareboatclub.org.uk/cnr.php" target="_blank">http://www.clareboatclub.org.uk/cnr</a>. </b>Please take the time to read through the rules.</div>


<div><br></div><div>The Regatta is the usual format of side-by-side racing over an 800m course. There are four events<span style="font-family:arial, sans-serif;font-size:13px;background-color:rgb(255, 255, 255)">: Men's Cup, Women's Cup, Men's Plate, Women's Plate. The top crew of each sex should be entered into the Cup and other crews into the Plate, unless you are entering 4 or more boats of one sex. In this case, the top 2 crews enter the Cup. The defining feature of the Regatta is that<b> no rower may have rowed or sculled in a race before 1st September 2011 and no cox may have steered a race before the same date.</b> Please see the website for full details and email me with any problems.</span></div>


<div><span style="font-family:arial, sans-serif;font-size:13px;background-color:rgb(255, 255, 255)"><br></span></div><div>To enter crews, please visit the Online Entry page of the Regatta website. The first individual to log in via Raven for each college will be able to enter crews and grant another CRSid the ability to do the same. Entries are £46 per crew and close at <b>midnight ending Sunday 13th November</b>. Entries submitted after this time may be refused and will be subject to an increased fee of £55. If you have any problems with the system, please contact me at this email address. Payment is preferably made by direct transfer (account details available on the website) but cheques are also acceptable. Please make them out to <b>"Clare Novices' Regatta"</b> and deliver them to Clare Boat Club, Clare College Old Court by the entry deadline.</div>


<div><span style="font-family:arial, sans-serif;font-size:13px;background-color:rgb(255, 255, 255)"><br></span></div><div><span style="font-family:arial, sans-serif;font-size:13px;background-color:rgb(255, 255, 255)">There will be a meeting for coaches and coxes on <b>Sunday 20th November at 21:15 in the Great Hall, Clare College Old Court</b>, the Sunday before the Regatta. Safety and marshaling procedures will be explained and the draw and order of racing will be distributed. <b>All competing coxes must attend</b>, together with a senior representative from their college (such as a Lower Boats Captain).</span></div>
