Message-ID: Dear Captains, Dear Coxes Please be aware that we have now confirmed the date and venue for the May bumps briefings. This will be in the *Bateman Auditorium, Gonville & Caius College*. This will be held in the late afternoon/evening on *Sunday 9th June*, exact timings TBD. *In-person attendance for the novice and senior coxes' briefing is mandatory for all those coxing bumps*.* There will be a sign-in sheet sometime during each briefing. (*unless proxies are arranged for senior coxes only as per rule 24: http://www.cucbc.org/handbook/racing/bumps - an acceptable proxy shall be defined as a senior cox (coxed at least one of Lent or May bumps) from their club who undertakes to brief the coxswain on safe racing during bumps) Please ensure that all relevant people are aware of the upcoming briefing times! Coaches, captains and bank parties are welcome to the coxes' briefing to improve awareness of safety during Bumps. Information regarding signing up to umpire bumps will be disseminated in the coming weeks. Crews eligible to row during evening hours are able to park/marshal upstream of Morley's Holt and await the reopening of the river for college crews, but must not impede GoR crews heading home nor cross beyond Morley's Holt should the GoR overrun. The building will be on card access only, so please arrive at the main entrance where a member of CUCBC will admit you. Everyone attending will need to sign in, not just coxes.
