[name removed] reached out recently to ask if college boat club welfare
officers could attend the welfare training that we facilitate for
university sports clubs. I think it is definitely a potential area for
development and would like to invite college boat club welfare officers to
attend the next scheduled session. The content is likely to be of great use
to college boat club welfare officers.

*Welfare Officer Training *

The training, Essential Skills for Supporting Students, is delivered by the
Students' Unions' Advice Service and provides attendees with tools to
support their role as a Welfare Officer.

This is an important role in club committees, and training is provided free
of charge. We want to ensure that Officers are equipped as well as possible
to deal with any issues that may arise in their club.
