Dear Captains

Bungs starts are permitted in the 2 days preceding the Lent bumps. That is
namely today and tomorrow. or Tuesday if your're in the first division.

In light of the need to get crews out to practice starts we've decided to
relax the one boat rule for Monday morning.

Between lighting down and 8:30am each club may only have 1 boat that
proceeds downstream of Chesterton at any one time. However you are
permitted to have one other boat on the water at a time along the boathouse
stretch after 7:30am only in order to practice starts. This second crew may
not boat past the Green Dragon Bridge.

A note on bung starts, please keep the start sequence brief so as not to
create too much wash and also please keep noise down if you are carrying
them out in the morning. Do not carry out any starts before 7:30am as the
noise required for counting and calling the start sequence will disturb
local residents.
