[CUCBC Captains] Events on the River Cam, Sunday 15th September 2013

Dear river users,

 

Please be aware of the following events affecting the River Cam navigation
this Sunday, 15th September.

 

Cambridge Fish Preservation and Angling Society Ltd will be hosting a Club
fishing match on the River Cam upstream of Baits Bite Lock towards the A14
road bridge, 09.00 hr to 15.00 hr.

 

Rowers are kindly asked to turn upstream of the A14 road bridge if possible
to avoid disturbing the competitors during this match. Other navigators
making passage along these reaches are advised to keep a look-out for rods
with lines and/or poles. Please keep speed and wash down to a minimum when
passing competitors. 

 

Cam Sailing Club will be holding races in the morning and afternoon at
Waterbeach. Navigators are asked to keep a good lookout and to take avoiding
action to prevent any collisions with any sailing craft.
