[CUCBC Captains] Warning about Drifting Boats

Dear all,

Today I have received a complaint concerning early morning noise from
coxes and coaches on the section of the river outside the boathouses.
The complainant intends to take the matter to the Environmental Health
team of the Council should they continue to be disturbed. Please could
you make sure that they are given no cause to do so. There should be
no coaching from the bank prior to 7.30am above the Railway Bridge,
nor should cox boxes be used to deliver coaching calls, only basic
commands at minimal volume.

Please remember there is a bylaw to prevent disturbance from amplified
noise. The use of it would have serious consequences, so please don't
tempt anyone to do so.

Overly-loud music from boat houses has also been mentioned: please
keep it turned down if erging early, especially if windows/doors open.
