Dear Captains
**Please ensure the following information is passed on to all crews
competing in the Getting-On Race**
The Getting-On Race for the Lent Bumps 2013 will take place on Friday
22th February and will be run in two divisions for men's and women's
crews.
All men's crews *must be marshalled by 13:45*. The first 20 crews will
marshal in starting order on the towpath side between the Railway Bridge
and The P&E with the crew number 1 furthest downstream.
Crews 21 and above will marshal at Chesterton on meadow side (Stourbridge
Common) in racing order with crew 21 furthest downstream opposite the P&E.
The marshals will then instruct all crews to proceed to the start together,
keeping in racing order. The first 20 crews will spin in order 1 at a time
and pull in downstream of the start. Crews 21 and above will remain on the
meadow side of the river and spin one at a time as space becomes available
as the first crews start to race.
All women's crews will marshal *by 14:30* in the same positions above the
Railway Bridge with the first 20 on towpath side between Railway Bridge and
the P&E and 21 and above along Stourbridge Common. Once all men's crews
have finished racing the women's crews will be instructed to proceed to the
start and will follow the same spinning pattern before racing.
Due to the very large number of crews racing please make sure you are
marshalled early.
Please check the crew lists at http://www.cucbc.org/lents/gor very
carefully before the day of the race as it will likely change in the days
leading up to the race.
Best wishes
Tom Grimble
