[CUCBC Captains] Events on the River Cam this week, Thursday 22 to Sunday 25 November 2012 inclusive

Dear river users

 

Please be aware of the following events affecting the Cam during the second
half of this week:

 

Thursday 22, Friday 23 and Saturday 24th November

 

The Clare Novices Regatta will be taking place between 13:45 hr and dusk,
Thursday and Friday, course Baits Bite Lock to Chesterton footbridge. The
races on Saturday will start at 08:30 hr and run until dusk on the same
course. Navigators are kindly asked to observe the race marshals'
instructions and heed their warnings to wait for an appropriate time slot
before proceeding upstream or downstream during this approved event. 

 

The Halingway towpath is a public right of way. Cyclists must give priority
to pedestrians at all times.

 

Sunday 25th November

 

The Essex Winter Series Kayak Race will be taking place between Sheeps
Green, Newnham, on the upper river and Baits Bite Lock, 12:00 hr to 15:00
hr. Other craft users are asked to give competitors priority during this
Race.
