[CUCBC Captains] CRA Time Race, River Cam, Thursday 5th July and heavy rainfall prediction overnight

To all river users,

 

Please be advised that this evening, the CRA Time Race will be taking place
on the River Cam between the Railway Bridge and Boathouses, 19:15 hr to
21:45 hr. Navigators are kindly asked to observe the race marshals'
instructions and heed their warnings to wait for an appropriate time slot
before proceeding upstream or downstream during this approved rowing event. 

 

The Environment Agency has also advised us that heavy rainfall is expected
to affect Cambridge between 00:00 hr and 07:00 hr tomorrow, Friday 6 July.
River flows may therefore be above normal and navigators should assess
conditions before setting out. Information on river status for the River Cam
