[CUCBC Captains] Elections for CUWBC Hon Sec

Dear Women's Captains,

The elections for the position of CUWBC Hon Sec 2012-2013 will be held on
Wednesday the 9th May in the Captain's Room of Goldie Boathouse from 7pm
onwards. Manifestos for those wishing to run should be sent to me (hon-sec
[at] cuwbc.org) before 23:45 on Friday 4th May at the latest.

The position of Hon Sec can be contested by "any member of a Women's Boat
Club in the University", so please could you make your women's clubs aware
of this and the date of the elections.

Voting eligibility for the position is as follows: "Only members of the
University Women's crews and spares still in residence and statu pupillare
shall be entitled to vote in the election of the Club Officers, *with the
exception of the Hon. Secretary*, in which case each College Women's Boat
Club Captain shall also have one vote in his/her capacity as a Captain."
Those women's captains wishing to vote but unable to be present at the
meeting will be able to submit a proxy vote by email prior to the
elections; please let me know in advance if you will require this.

I've set out below a brief description of what being Hon Sec entails, but
please do not hesitate to contact me at the above email address if you
would like more information.

Honorary Secretary:
The Hon Sec is CUWBC's representative on the CUCBC committee, and is the
secretary for the CUW executive committee. The hon sec also works with the
president and vice-president in the general running of the club.
