[CUCBC Captains] City of Cambridge RC Big Weekend 5 and 6 May 2012

Entries for the City of Cambridge Spring head to head (Saturday 5 May) and
City sprints regatta (Sunday 6 May) open later today.

We are pleased to announce new features in both events for 2012.

Spring Head to Head 2012

2 x2km (Railway Bridge to A14 and back again): Divisions at 11am, 12:30pm
and 2pm
Categories offered: Coxed fours and eights - Men's Mays Divisions 1, 2 and
3; Women's Mays Divisions 1 and 2

Shortened course (Post at the bottom of the reach to A14 and back again):
Division at 3:30pm
Categories offered: Coxed fours and eights - Men's Mays Divisions 4 and
below; Women's Mays Divisions 3 and 4

Crews from Men's Mays divisions 4 and below and Women's Mays divisions 3
and 4 are welcome to race in the longer event within the Mays Divisions 3
and 2 categories respectively.

Entry fee of £6.50 per seat (coxes free) if paid in advance (£7.50 on the
day)

City Sprints

400m side by side racing in front of the boat houses starting from 11am.

Events offered: VIIIs and IVs - Men, Women and Mixed Mays Divisions 1,
2, 3 and lower

All competitors guaranteed (subject to number of entries) a minimum of two
races - with losers from the first round of racing going into a plate event.

Entry fee of £8 per seat (coxes free) - reduced to £6.50 if the crew
also enters the head to head on the Saturday.

New for 2012 - Alumni event - come and support your College Alumni as they
relive the experience of racing on the Cam.
