[CUCBC Captains] Lower Boats Captains' Course - Monday 5th

Dear all,

 	A final reminder that the LBCs' course will be held on:

Monday 5th October from 2:00-4:00pm

in the Auditorium at Robinson College.

All LBCs are expected to attend the course. The session has been 
extensively revised this year and will cover safety, equipment and 
coaching. A register will be taken at the course since it is important 
that everyone who will be coaching lower boats is aware of their 
responsibilities and liabilities.  If a lower boats captain is truly 
unable to attend, please inform us by email in advance since a package of 
information will be forwarded to you, which you will need to acknowledge 
receipt of, to ensure that you are not in breach of the article below.

In addition to LBCs, the course is appropriate for others who will be 
coaching next year. I remind you that the CUCBC handbook specifies:

"That coaches for college crews and for scullers have undergone at least 
the minimum training, which is attendance at the CUCBC course at the 
beginning of the Michaelmas term, and later when required (from September 
2007), and that they are members of the ARA or otherwise insured."
