Dear Captains,

I would firstly like to thank Clare for sending a marshal even though none
was requested of them.

I've attached Friday's marshal rota.

I would like to remind all captains that any margin is sufficient to
determine a winner of the W4+ side-by-side races. A dead heat will be
declared only in the instance where the finish marshal calls the finish too
close to judge.

Men's races will be called a dead heat if the difference in time recorded
between the 2 finish marshals dropping their arms is less than 1 second. A
dead heat in the final does not give a re-row. Both crews will share the
win in the event of a dead heat.

Also, it is possible that races may start ahead of time if we are running
ahead of schedule (though you will of course never have to arrive before
your marshal time).

Regards,
Derek O'Brien
