Dear Captains,

Entries are now open for the Lent Bumps 2009.

**YOU ARE STRONGLY ADVISED TO READ THIS EMAIL CAREFULLY**

How to Enter:

  - Enter with CUCBC: Login to the CUCBC website and use the Bumps Entry
System at www.cucbc.org/bumps/enter.

  - Submit Bumps Programme Information: www.thebumps.co.uk/crewlists 

The deadline for both of these steps is 23:45 on Friday 30th January.
Entries will not be considered complete until payment has been received -
see below for details. 

Any questions about the Bumps Entry System should be sent to
webmaster at cucbc.org.

Entry Fees:

The entry fee is £33 per crew.  Cheques should be payable to "Cambridge
University Combined Boat Clubs" and delivered to Revd. Ian Thompson, King's
College.  Remember to include the payment of any outstanding Michaelmas
bills with your entry fee.  The deadline for entries is Monday 2nd February.

Refunds are allowed as follows: 
  - Failure to qualify in Getting on Race: 50% 
  - Scratch at least 48 hours before Getting on Race: 100% 
  - Scratch at least 24 hours before Getting on Race: 50% 
  - Scratch less than 24 hours before Getting on Race: No Refund

Any questions about entry fees, bills and payments should be sent to
seniortreasurer at cucbc.org.

Scratching:

If you withdraw crews after entering them please alert the Exec Committee at
committee at cucbc.org as well as removing them from the entry system.  Failure
to alert the Committee by email could result in you being over-billed for
entry fees.

Exceptional Rowers:

Permission for exceptional rowers (any member of a crew who isn't a student
in statu pupillare at your College) must be obtained from the Exec Committee
at committee at cucbc.org.  Entering crews containing exceptional rowers
without permission will result in disqualification.

Your attention is drawn to the regulations for racing at
http://www.cucbc.org/handbook/racing/bumps.

If you have any questions about the Lent Bumps that aren't specifically
about the Bumps Entry System or entry fees please address them to the Exec
