Various rules in the handbook require clubs to send CUCBC various pieces of important information each year - completing this form and the safety form that will be circulated during term will ensure you don't fall foul of any of these rules and get banned from using the river. You can update your Club Information Form by following these instructions: - Login to CUCBC.org - Go to www.cucbc.org/clubs/me - This should take you to your form. - Click "edit". - Check the details already entered, update as necessary and press "Save" at the bottom. NB: Two new fields have been added in the last week so ALL clubs will need to login and update information. If any of these details change during the year please make sure you keep the form up to date. It?s nice to be able to alert the Boston area alumni in advance about any participants whom they can cheer on. ? I hope this finds you well. ?I won?t be coming over for Alumni Weekend this year (we?ll have a robust contingent there, all the same) but I hope to be over about a month later, to catch some of the new ?Festival of Ideas? events. ? ? The objective is to make things much more easily accessible, especially in relation to the rules of the river. The result is a series of smaller booklets, aimed at particular people. These are attached, and are also available online via the CUCBC website. Obviously, the most important for members of the club are the revised ten golden rules, and the associated Rules of the River, and Captains, Boatmen and WSOs are asked to ensure that everyone is aware of these, and where to find them on the web. Printed copies can be made available on request, and Captains are asked to let me know asap if their Boatman does not have access to the internet or e-mail at the Boathouse. The documents are attached. We have tried to ensure they are correct, so please let me know if you spot any typos or inconsistencies. Material changes to rules can only be made by the Captains after due process. We have already produced rowing kit for the Portuguese Olympic rowing team and we are going to launch our rowing clothing range in the UK. We are looking for a dynamic club, (perhaps a college club) that will work with us to get our range right for the UK market and of course publicise our kit. Coming from a cycling and triathlon background we have a lot of expertise in working with lycras and technical fabrics and we feel that we can introduce this know-how into rowing. We produce rowing all-in-ones in technical lycras with full sublimation printing so that any design/colours and logos can be carried on them in any position, rather than the more limited options that traditional suppliers offer for example. Because we sell directly from Portugal our prices are very competitive with those of UK distributors of high end kit and we would be very happy to send some samples over. We currently supply many of the UK's and Ireland's leading triathlon and cycling teams and we would be able to provide references from various clubs, including the Cambridge Triathlon Club which you may be familiar with. If you know of any clubs within the Cambridge University set-up who you think may be interested, please could you either forward this email to them or perhaps let me have their contact details. You can find our more about us at www.fcarvalho-ciclismo.com/clo and please don't hesitate to ask if you would like any clarification on any of the points.
