[CUCBC Captains] Fwd: Trailering to Wallingford Head

Dear Captains,

I would like to let you know that CUCBC will be monitoring the effect
of this rule on an ongoing basis from Tuesday, and particularly after
term finishes. We will *not* be looking at specific clubs and saying
(for example) "Club X has only been sending out one crew per morning
on average so we should only give them one slot in future" - we
strongly encourage you not to use the early morning period if at all

The main enforcement of the rule will be by Early Morning Marshals so
please make sure all marshals are competent and not new to rowing in
Cambridge. Homerton, Queens', Newnham and Pembroke must in particular
make sure their marshals are up-to-date with the rule change for
Tuesday and Wednesday mornings when there will be the most queries.

> Dear all,
> The restrictions in rule 8 of the Rules of the River will come into effect
> as of (and including) Tuesday morning (18th November). This means that each
> college club may have no more than two boats on the water at any time
> between lighting down and 8.30am from Tuesday until further notice or the
> end of Full Term. Singles, pairs or tubs do not count towards the two
> allowed boats.
> Unfortunately boat numbers have risen substantially over the last few days
> and we are now at the level where the committee feels that restrictions are
> necessary to avoid severe congestion of the river. Please note that
> breaches of this rule with be heavily punished as laid out in the online
> Handbook.
> If anyone has any questions about the implementation of this rule or
> specific details then please contact myself or the committee as soon as
> possible.
