[CUCBC Captains] Weather Conditions

You will see that the flag is now red. The rain and high winds (gusts of
50mph+) are predicted to last throughout the afternoon, dropping to 30mph by
the end of today. The forecast for tomorrow is similar with gusts of
between 35 and 45mph predicted between 0600 and 1800. It is likely
therefore that there will be a Yellow Flag, at the very least, throughout
the day. Wind speeds are set to drop significantly over night on Friday and
so it is hoped that Newnham short course will go ahead as planned.
Please check the web page for flag status as it may not be possible/sensible
for us to fly a physical flag from Goldie in high winds. We will ensure
that the web is kept updated as weather conditions change.
